Alan’s interest in art started in childhood under the influence of his father who was an exceptional draftsman. Later, under the guidance of Norman Wady, his art teacher at school, Alan developed his skills winning both junior and senior art prizes. A spell at St Martin’s School of Art in London completed his art education.

His first love has always been painting and over the years he has combined this with a career in advertising. His painting has brought him numerous commissions and exhibitions in the UK and his work now hangs in London, Ireland, Paris, New York, North Carolina, New Zealand and South Africa. Since the mid 90’s when Alan sold his advertising business, he has been painting on a full time basis.
